I pulled this out of the safe to show someone and was shocked to see the toning. Also notice that the silver proofs are NOT toning like the clad.

Up until 6 weeks ago, and for the last 7 years these were at probably 75 degrees with 10-15% humidity. Last 6 weeks about the same temp, but humidity about 60%. I looked at these 6 or 7 months ago and they were NOWHERE this color....

The NH-D and VA-P look ok. Not sure about the rest of the toners.

I recently pulled a bunch of seated dimes out of a Dansco album and they all had some new toning, too. First time I've touched them in 3-4 years.

I'm a little surprised that the silver versions aren't toning much.... perhaps you need some silica gel with your albums...

i have the same album and the silver proofs are toning a little while the clads for the most part are not toning, opposite of your results.

My Dansco album did really weird things with my 2000 silver quarters-- all of the devices turned golden brown!

It does look cool on the Kentucky horse, tho.

I have Whitman folders that I collect unc and xf State Quarters from circulation in, and they are toning, too. I was pleasantly surprised. Pictures tomorrow maybe.

Same here, I only have unc clads and they're toning faster than I expected. It seems to start on the corner coins. They're just getting colorful and I'm in Arizona so the humidity is low. They look like I stored them in taco bell napkins.

Mine seem to be toning around the edges, but I better check them again. It's been a year or so since I've gotten them out. I keep some of those silica packs in my safe, but have never taken the hum readings. Temp has to be pretty constant around 71-74F probably..
