April Icon Upload Day

Good Afternoon,

Since the 15th falls on a Sunday this month, the icon upload function will be available on Friday, April 13th.
The function will be available from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pacific Time.

Icons can not be larger than 100x100 and must be under 10k in size.

On that day, click profile, go to the bottom of the page and the option should be there.

Is this a well-documented fact -- or is it a matter of browser? What browser are you using?

Tried Firefox 2.0.0.3, Opera 9.10, and Safari 1.03. None of these browsers show an upload button under profile. All that is available is to select an icon from the huge icon list.

MS Explorer? (I know, shudder the thought...but often has the latest accessibility). Hate the thought of needing "the others" for anything(!)

I think three installed browsers is enough for me. Trashed Netscape a while back. Cannot even remember Explorer, too long ago.

Having a PC isn't any guarantee of uploading one successfully either, Mozin. I use a PC and have tried at least 3 different months to upload one here. No matter how many pixels I downsized my photo to, even like 50X50, it always says "it's too large ,

" so I gave up.

My photos are stored on Picasso2 software. Does anyone know how to shrink photos down to 100x100 on Picasso2? I've not been able to figure it out. Thanks.

I just noticed You a "IKE" collector.

I need a clad Bi Centinal 1976 MS 66
and another IKE clad 71 thru 78 MS66
for My dollar type set.

Also when You have the time explain the "Type" differances,
example 1972P Type I,II,III or the 1976 Type I,II,etc.

If it keeps saying the file is too large, are you checking to make sure the file is saved as jpg?

Just changing a bmp. to jpg. reduces the file size a whole bunch.

If it works, the red background will be lighter.

Yes, I believe I did. I use Photoshop Elements 2 to resize the pixel amounts but there must be some other way to reduce the actual KB size that I'm not computer-savvy enough to figure out?

Got the fro pic up. I had really wanted to use the following one that Graphix made for me which is awesome! But I cant seem to get it under 10KB even though its a jpg. The only way I can get it under is to shrink it WAY under the 100 pixels. Can anyone help shrink the following image to icon specs without making it indistinguishable?
