He sure has a knack for finding a lot of toned copper that looks alike.

    Thanks, Louis.

Stman isn't here, so I'll say it in his absense.

What a shame. This AT stuff is really hurting a lot of beautiful, original coins image
Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!

Using his AT account to buy them... Nice before and after examples.

    Look at this one...

    Cooked @ 450 Degrees

Althought I guess it's not illegal to "cook-up" a coin, it certainly is a disservice to the hobby....

edited to add...this is an NGC graded coin...the toning looks AT to me.

If that is AT (which is certainly looks like it could be) and is the exact coin that is listed as being slabbed and for sale, then NGC shares some blame, wouldn't you think?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I think that the abundance of artificially toned coins, whether they be Lincoln cents or American Silver Eagles is doing a disservice to numismatics.
