These attacks are a variant on the Theory of Widgetivity. Where as focus is apparantly directed, but in reality misplaced. Others view this phenomenon from a close distance noting the subjects actions, reactions and come away time and time again with the same observation, what a waste of time. Though, it is comical and sometimes interesting to study the Widgetivity subjects actions it is in reality a shame as they are to be pitied.

They have been sold out for awhile. The Mint as usual has been taking a waiting list. Looks like 10k was the limit for the 4 coin sets.

Under 15 K on the 1/2 and 1/4 ,hopefully that should give us a decent premium in a year or 2...I just dont see the platinum frenzy happening with these even though the collector base is much bigger....hope I am wrong

    OK, now they're really gone.

THANK GOODNESS they are gone -- I have been following the forum diatribe and wagered the marriage (and credit) on these (too many to admit) -- whadya think it will be before the sets will start to show some real gain? Should I find a good lawyer now, or a research a bungalow in Tahiti? image

If you plan on selling them in the next 12 months, you might be a tad bit disappointed. If discover them in your safe deposit box 5 years from now, you will be jumping for joy.

2006-W Silver jumped by 250% within a month of sell-out.
2006-W Platinum jumped by 50% within a month of sell-out.

Why should the 2006-W Gold NOT jump by at least 20-30% within a month or two? Yes, I think they'll do better in the long term than in the short, but I think it's silly to claim that the immediate jump will be so low as to be "disappointing."
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

With the collector base of the gold eagles, AND with the right flaunting of the WAY LOW mintage (NN and CoinWorld take note of some real COIN NEWS), perhaps these will BOLT appropriately. And of course, someone buy the rest of those 1 oz'ers...
