I came upon this auction on ebay .... I am not the seller nor to I have any interest in promoting a seller...

I just wonder what you think of the format...blind envelopes?

IMHO, all of these blind envelopes, grab bags, unsearched (by whom?) lots, are another word for SCAM.

  • it is all crap coins that aren't worth a tenth of what you paid.
  • One buyer left this mystery lot seller a neutral feedback for a less than thrilling coin selection, this seller then returned two very nasty negative feedback's, given his receptiveness to criticism, that says a great deal about him and in turn his secret mystery lots.

All it is is a mystery. You have no guarantees as to what you are going to get. Besides, he even tells you that he took coins out.

Anyone else smell a red flag.

I Just got my two mystery envelopes........woooohooo, I am rich. NOT

Envelope number one; an XF/AU 1964 Dime and a 1956 BU penny, complete with PVC on the reverse upon initial inspection.

Envelope number two; an AG 1913 Liberty Dime and a full G 1908 Nickle.

I got a free envelope, which is where I struck it rich; a 2004 P Peace Reverse Nickle and a 2004 D Peace Reverse Nickle, and a strong VF and very crusty 1943 steel penny.

Scam, yeah, I knew it going in, but figured, $17 for two, with delivery, I can take one for the team and at least post it.

rip off---you could buy all of them and you won't get the 1853 half in the photo--All mystery auctions are intended rip-offs and should be avoided. JMHO--Bob

Rip off is right! They are put together for people who think their going to get a great deal but usually the buyer pays more for the contents than the contents are really worth. IMO.

The only one who gets the great deal is the seller!
