Look at this moron, he has blatantly doctored every photo in every one of his auctions; most of them look like they were done by my 8 month old daughter. This one is so bad, he even created a new star in the coin's star field! He needs some nasty emails from honest collectors, and to be reported to Eprey.

I would call you a scumbag, but I am sure you already know that you are one. I just want to know how someone can be so dishonest? You doctor more photos, blatantly overgrade, lie, and overhype more than any other seller I know. Go check out the PCGS boards. I am sure you know about you're own reputation there. They know what you are up to there. Its just a matter of time before you either cant sell a thing or get booted off ebay; hopefully it will be the latter.

Ebay sellers like this don't bother me. When I look at their feedback and it is as bad as his, I don't care what they are selling I will NOT buy from them.

I doubt it, as that would force Ebay to at least look at his auctions for possible action. I would hope that the forum member would tell us if Ebay raised Hades about it; then we'll ALL email Ebay to protest that they are letting the scumbag seller off the hook.

Sometimes it can, but in this case probably not. eBay has booted this guy before, so there's some history on our side. Besides, I doubt he would report it since he probably doesn't want to draw eBay's attention.

I suggested to him that he may not want to use photoshop to alter his coin images, especially considering that he doesn't appear to be very good at it.

Ok,

I just spoke with my eBay account rep and she told me that there IS a way to kick this guy off.

What I need a couple of research-oriented individuals to do is compile a list of coins that dmplrainbow has purchased off eBay and match them to current listings or recently (last 30 days) ended listings. You then need to snag the pictures and point out exactly what was modified. I need item numbers as well. Enough instances of this behavior will result in his account being NRU'ed.

Any takers?

Brandon, I believe that Braddick has pointed out one or more specific auctions where that seller bought a coin at one grade and offered it as another (higher one) - please check with him, as he's really good with that detective work.

If anyone there at Ebay knows anything about coins, they should easily be able to tell that the seller edits/doctors his images severely.

Whats really sad is that all those collectors that can't tell the difference between a cleaned and polished coin vs an orginal PL coin are getting something they think is wonderful when it's really bad. They will learn the truth when they go to try to sell to a reputable dealer. Unfortunately for the first dealer that tells them their coin is not MS65 im sure the collector will consider them the crook and not the person they bought it from. After all this seller has 2000+ positive feedbacks.

No, I just had his current auctions in one window, and a listing of his feedback in another window, then went down all the "from Seller" feedback until I found the coins above. I went through all the "from Seller" feedback until the listings were no longer valid....Mike

Here's another one: 1897 10c AU50 Cleaned and 1897 10c PR65. I've saved the images to my hard drive if ebay needs them.

Use Goofbay.com and you can see this guys turnover by placing in his ebay ID. WOW wasd I surprised. He has over 79,000 in sales in the alst 30 days alone. This may help you in your searches. This is a a total fraud from the word go.

Tom, sadly, I'm not convinced anyone has gotten through to Ebay yet. The seller probably became aware of this thread and is trying to cover his tracks. However, he has a "special place in my heart" and I plan to give him the attention he deserves.

I just notified ebay under 4 seprate offenses using 3 seprate item numbers. We need MORE! I also contacted the seller and stated I have the goods on him and if tries to sell under a different ebay ID he will be caught using my software to locate any misuse of ebay policyies. Similar to GoofBay but with more features. I can track spam, up to 3 seprate accounts etc. THIS GUY WILL NOT HAVE A CHANCE IN THE WORLD TO SCAM ANYONE AGAIN. But it is up to all of us to contact ebay with email and as much info as possible. Proof is the stuff that will take care of this guy for good and we have that!
