Can a forum member be thrown off the board?

A certain forum member has been running free giveaway contests and failing to honor them. See the links below.
His current giveaway contest.
His past two giveaways he didn't honor?
i am going to do a give away on a .999 silver milenium eagle (started may 20)
another giveaway of toned pennys (Started June 01)
Another forum member (mojoman) awarded his own prize, to make up for Mr Jonlimie's refusal to follow through.

The guy has 'issues' and this yields him the attention he craves. Ignore and he will go away.
This bozo is the only one obviously much less so. What's sad is so many folks entered one of his frivolous giveaways that mojoman ended up being kind enough to award the ill promised prize?
And now another giveaway in another forum altogether.
Did anyone make the effort to contact a moderator? Nooooooooooo
A simple PM to us with links can solve a lot of problems very quickly when it comes to the occasional problem child.
Sorry, we really can't read each and every thread and follow up to see whether a giveaway has actually transpired, and I assure you that none of us are gifted psychics.
now that I've been made aware of this problem, appropriate action has been taken.

That's bad. I'm thinking the board member I'm talking about is on vacation? I just hope he is well. I just feel bad because I got others involved. I've pm the 1st to step up to the plate and will cover any and all cost. Sometimes it hurts when you try to do the right thing. I really dont think this individual was trying to pull a scam.
The individual you are discussing is trying to take advantage of the boards generous heart. I hope he gets more than kicked off the board.
Hi Sm1
While I am both surprised and deeply disappointed that the mods can't read each thread

LOL. I believe I noticed one of your post vanishing before I could reply. I was just going to ask if you could wait until I sold the house, business and got the wife to get a 2nd job. Heck, I was gonna make an offer.

<< <i>Speaking of problem children. The last three posters are almost a Who's Who of the aforementioned "quality" board members. >>
I agree completely, "the last three posters" being:
1) Saintguru
2) Russ
3) SM1
If someone gets thrown off the board, where do they land? In the stamps section or something like that?

Both of those would be a violation of the 8th Amendment.

<< <i>What's interesting is that he has pulled this 4x and people are still falling for it. Apparently suckers are born every minute and reborn as well.

Where do you get off calling people suckers for signing up for a free giveaway one time? I consider myself one of the smart suckers because I didn't fall for the email part. The only giveaway of jonlimie's I openned was the one in the Stamp Forum and I signed up for it on the 18th. Today is the 20th. How does signing up for a giveaway and 2 days later find out it was a bunch of crap make me a sucker?
ttxp...thanks for bringing this to everybody's attention.
Jerry
Over 100 people were "suckers," and while on the face of it, its a rather small issue, his new posting of generosity in the stamp forum just hit a truly sour chord with me.
Mojoman was truly a gentleman for stepping up and rewarding a prize that another had promised. That is commendable.
At least this jonlimle's attention seeking behavior was limited to giving a "prize" away instead of entering into a trade or something of kind with another legitimate forum user.
My mistake was obviously not dealing with a moderator direct on this.

Jeesh. You must be a newbie.

<< <i>I am 13 years old and collect stamps, coins........... >>
I never stopped to consider a 13 year old, times have changed. Childish pranks used to be ringing doorbells, stealing lawn ornaments and like fodder, now its the Internet.
Not that I myself ever did such things, I was to busy in school with homework responsibilities, a good child I was.
It would appear to be a prank (like ttxp said)
Tells his age
And what he collects
