Wow!

Quite the auction with this one!
YOWZA!

Nice coin, but that is *stupid* money, if ya ask me.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • Thats what I thought when I saw it at $200. It seems a little ridiculus to me.

the coins were started at 99 cents with no reserve.

the bidders bid what they felt was a fair price.

maybe what's "stupid" is second guessing someone else's collection. image

I think you misinterpretted *stupid* money (or, maybe you didn't).
Never said it wasn't what someone was willing to pay....but it is WAAAAYYYYY up there for that type of coin (I have a few toned SAEs, but not toned like that, so I knew it would go higher...THAT much higher was amazing).

If the bidder is well off, more power to him. I would do that too, if I won the lottery.

I'm guessing purchase price was $40 or less.
    Maybe closer to $25.

I wonder about the toning though.....

I have to say better than 50% of brown box Ikes that I've seen looked like that one...
