2nd biggest COIN HEIST ever!

Boss, boss, guess what. I just found out about a guy who keeps his collection in his kitchen!
Simmer down, Blinky, we're working on something REALLY BIG.
Wot's dat, boss?
Well, Blinky, remember when we first started putting coins in plastic and we CHANGED the grading standards and nobody noticed?
Yeah, boss, dat wuz neat.
Sure, Blinky, we just took everything that HAD been selling briskly as an MS65 and put it in plastic that said it was 63.
Yeh, boss, an nobody noticed how dey wuz robbed cuz da GREY SHEET showed no decline and da custamers shut up cuz they jist thought they wuz wrong all along and the big dealers got ta still say that coins were a GREAT INVESTMENT and cud show how MS65's were still waaay higher than years ago just by showin the grey sheet an not tellin no one dat da coins from years ago wudn't meet the NEW standards. Dat wuz neet, boss.
Sure was, Blinky, but we got a problem. You taken a look at what coins are supposed to be "worth" nowadays? Sheeze, Blinky, our big distributors are saying that they don't want to risk capital on paying that much money for inventory if they're going to stay in business. The syndicate says that they need another shot.
So whadda we do, boss?
Well, Blinky, we simply change the old 70 points to 100. That makes it very easy. The top and the bottom will still be so narrow as to be meaningless and only PERFECTION will make 100. But think of the possibilities. We'll start a campaign to demonstrate how much BETTER 100 is than 70 by showing how most of the valuation differentials are in the UNCIRCULATED grades and we'll start the Uncs at...oh..60 or so just to maintain the old bottom being 60. THEN we'll offer to reslab existing coins for just some small amount. Maybe 4 or 5 dollars to suck everyone in. We spend 70 cents on plastic and half a cent on a label and just have some monkeys swapping slabs while the collectors pay the POSTAGE both ways.
Neat, boss.
Yes, and besides that, we go big time with the conversion explanation and tell everyone how what used to be a 65 could now be anywhere from a 70 (which will excite thousands) to oh, maybe an 80. Now, Blinky, how long do you think it will take folks to realize that an old 65 that is now a 70 to realize that it is now at the very BOTTOM of the old 65 designation?
Uh, t'ree seconds, boss?
Far less than that, Blinky. I figure it will be in the nanoseconds. The beauty is that the grey sheet can now list 80's for the same price as old 65's but we aren't going to give out any 80's except to our best distributors. So now collectors can just glumly look at their 70's that nobody wants anymore.
Chee, boss, just like when we started.
Yes, then we can get past some of these enormous "prices realized" expectations and stuff like Franklins and Kennedys going into the thousands and save the hustlers from having to actually PAY that much to get new stock. Blinky, this is going to be big.
But, boss, ain't the folks gonna complain?
Sure they will, Blinky, but we've had a meeting of the syndicate and all the big boys are going to support this and tell people how much more timely it is and how it will solve a lot of problems and make coins more exactingly graded and then they'll hire some more goons to scoop up the low-enders and resubmit for more profit.
Golly, boss, dat's purty smart.
That's why I'm the boss, Blinky. Just think of the newfound crackout opportunities. We won't have to discount the grading on NEW coins submitted and we can just keep the REAL graders working overtime on those while the monkeys are sending back the "specials" to the gullible folks who have learned to TRUST us.
Chee, boss, I'm all excited. Dat idea rates a full TEN.
HUNDRED, Blinky, hundred.
Oh yah, boss, I keep fergittin.
Good, that's what we like.

Now I only collect 90-somethings.
May I recommend a "gazillion" scale?
How 'bout "infinity"? - like an open-end scale!
