Greetings everyone,
Some of you have sent me e-mails asking about an array of topics, most
particularly The Cherrypickers' Guide. At this time I have over 200 e-mail messages
to catch up with. Just know that I will be getting back to you, and
hopefully all will be answered by the end of this coming weekend.
It seems that I've got a fairly painful pinching in my spinal cord at C5,6 &
7 (in my neck). As a result, the pain in my right arm is so bad that it hurts
to write, eat, or even put on a shirt. My right hand feels like its been in
a freezer for 12 hours! (I wish I was left handed.) I have posted a couple
of short replies to the group, and to be honest, those usually come about 30
minutes after I take a dose of pain medicine and before I get too groggy. I'm
trying not to take the narcotic (strong) pain medicine, but rather the milder
forms which also make me sleepy whereas the narcotics do not. Its kinda like a
catch between two hard spots.
I have an appointment with a neuro surgeon tomorrow afternoon. Until that
time, I am making every effort to contact everyone who has written me. But I
know I won't get to all before then. However, I do feel I'll get to all by the
end of the weekend. I'm going to try to get to those who have placed orders
first. And FYI, I have a friend coming in this afternoon and tomorrow to help
me get caught up.
Folks, this isn't nearly as worrisome as the cancer I went through twice in
the past 3 years. Its just a big pain in the "arm."
I just wanted to let as many people as possible know I will be getting to
you. Orders will be shipped to arrive before Christmas.
If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. I will get it
answered as quickly as possible.
Thanks to all,
JT
PS - Those of you on a couple of other groups feel free to copy and post this
for me. It will save me some typing, and it will help. Thanks.

A little sobering perspective for all of us (myself included) who have asked and/or joked about the late delivery of the new Cherrypickers' Guide.
