According to the latest CoinWorld the mint is actually going to look for new coins designs through Americas artist.

The next thing Fore needs to do is start having real, honest to goodness patterns minted again. Then , if we can get the ghost of Teddy Roosevelt to give Pres. Bush a late night visit...preferable carrying a handful of Saints...we will have it made.

Does this mean we can expect a 'crucifix in urine' commem? Excuse me if I seem less than enthusiastic about future coins but the track record indicates more of the "S.O.S"!

I agree chuck...did you see the approved California quarter design?? Awful.

Then again, maybe they're tryin to get their stuff together for the next half of the SQ's. We can always hope...but I'm not optimistic either.

I give the mint director credit for trying. It is a whole lot more progress than in the previous 30 or 40 years.

There is still too much politicization (State Quarters and the new nickel) and design by committee (CCAC) but, maybe can get headed in the right direction.
