Images of the two Accented Hairs I got in today.

These two have flat-out the deepest mirrors I've ever seen on a 1964; every bit the caliber that we see on deep cameo '68 to '70 Kennedys. One has some hairlining in the left obverse field that is enough to keep at out of anything higher than a 65 holder. The other is a 67 every day of the week, and maybe a 68 on Sundays.

There are no frost breaks anywhere on the reverse, what appears as such is just shadows. What appear to be frost breaks on the portrait are far more minor than they seem in the image. The concave nature of the bust tends to magnify the effect, and it's difficult to fill lighting.
Both of these coins have a very real shot at DCAM.

PS- Whoa! Holy Hell those are nice!

I have a couple of them in 65 holders that have the same degree of hairlining as this piece. But, I also have a couple in 64 holders, again with the same amount. The difference between the coins appears to be based on overall appeal, so I think it could go either way.

BTW, nice coins, I had to wipe the slobber off the keyboard!!!
<< <i>Did you buy a bunch of proof sets while I was gone??? >>
Marty,
I picked these sets up here. As soon as the auction went live, I eMailed the seller and started negotiating for early closure.

I mentioned your 68CAM in the thread, but out of privacy concerns, didn't say who it was.
