Should I have tried harder for this?

I am in the process of extending my WLH short set back into the 30's. It is all PCGS slabbed centered around MS64 some higher some lower. This one came up on the bay yesterday and I let it go. It is in an ICG holder, and the return policy was no returns. It looks strong for grade, but sometimes photos hide things. What do you think? It went ceap enough.
Edit: This is graded 64 in the holder it is in.

Agreed, especially when the coin is relatively common.

Correct,
No matter what the listing says about no returns, if you pay with paypal (and you just about have to on ebay) you get a return policy. Simply ask for a refund and if one is not given just file item not as described and viola your refund. I would assume the reason for the return would be a hidden scratch or some other thing not listed so it would be an item not described.
I think I consider one of those slabs just some assurance that the piece hasn't been doctored, maybe I'm being too hard on them.

What if there is a hidden flaw - which, let's face it, is almost always the case with images - but the assigned grade is still in line? Would you really consider such an item to be not "as described"?
Hoard the keys.

What he said. I learned this lesson the hard way! (I seem to learn in the School of Hard Knocks a LOT!)

I simply linked his/her picture. I did not create a copy of it. My creating a pointer to his/her publicly posted picture is certainly not illegal and not unethical either.

he's grinding that axe in more than just this thread
In my experience, to some buyers "not as described" means "as described, but I want my money back"

Sorry but you DID post the picture here. A link provides a place to click and go to the picture. You may not have copied it but you have used it. I'll allow someone else who becomes furious over the picture NOT being legal public property argue the case.
Yes SHE does keep grinding the issue as many here raise holy heck over their photos being used without permission and yet do the exact same thing themselves but I am glad the point has been made and I rest my case.
I didn't notice MarkInDavis giving you permission to quote his (or her?
Maybe you should be more careful next time.
Edit: To the OP - Buy the coin, not the plastic. As others have posted, with PP you had a return privilege. Don't fret, though. Another will come along.
You should have no problem finding a nice PCGS slabbed one. Walkers of this era are stunning and I know you will find one you like.
Are you going to stop at 1935? Or are you thinking of tackling MS64 '33-S and '34-S? Even the '38-D is pricey.
Have fun and good luck!
Lance.

My post references the owners pictures. I have created no copy. If he or she moves or deletes the original my links point to nothing. You have no legal case.
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

One of the reasons I hate using eBay and haven't sold anything on there since January.
The seller says "No Returns". If you are going to take a chance on an inferior slab, live with it.
Don't blame the seller and use the PayPal loophole to get your money back because you
want eBay to be an "On-Approval" service. The pictures are much clearer than most.
Obviously, the OP was a little concerned about the coin, and coupled with a no return policy,
I think he made the right decision to not bid. Just my opinion.

The permission is in the quote button that is provided. And NO the pic will not disappear when the listing finally goes bye-bye. The way you posted it the pic WAS copied to this sites data base.
With running about 32 websites I know the proper way to link as opposed to copying the image to my databases. Now that IS my final comment on the issue.
Happy Holidays
I just want to say that I thought the 1939 Walker was very well struck
and that if another of the same caliber came along, I'd buy it, if I were you.
