BBCE & "A Piece of the Game" filming with 1967 48 ct. cello box with pictures!

Loads of amazing pictures after my recap.

I found myself at Baseball Card Exchange on Monday to film a spot for the TV show "A Piece of the Game".

First I would like to thank Steve & Peter for setting it up. They are great guys and I had a blast doing it. By the way
the shop is just CRAZY! I about fell out when I went in the backroom and saw all that product. Words can not properly
describe the sheer volume. I don't know how they ever get anything done.

I brought in a 48 ct. 1967 Topps baseball cello box (for a friend) for the show. Along with about 20 packs that Steve
& PSA had already graded. Steve checked out the unopened box and gave it his seal of approval. We filmed the spot and
then afterwards he wrapped/sealed it up for safekeeping!

I would also like to thank Don and the guys from "A Piece of the Game" for making the whole thing so much fun and
stress free. I brought my daughter, who is home from college on Thanksgiving break with me, and she had a blast. I
think I may have even risen a few spots on the "COOL" meter in her eyes!

Steve is just a super nice guy. He took the time, on what I can only imagine was a hectic day, to talk with me about
some other items I had brought along. He looked everything over for me and I was able to get it all authenticated and
wrapped. Thanks again.

If you are thinking about a visit or giving Steve some business I strongly recommend it!

Now for some pictures!

And 1 of my measly boxes (in comparison) with a few biggies showing!
And a nice addition to the Redskins collection! HTTR!

Great unopened Craig!!! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your screen debut. image

Also, Eric is very misguided. I usually leave some 1985 Topps packs lying around to distract him from the good stuff.
"The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,

Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.

Thanks for all the kind words!

Tim - I was amazed at how clean these packs were when I first saw them. The only drawback, if you want to call it that,
is that you can't make out who this poster insert is!

cubfan89 - David Kaplan wasn't at the filming. My piece was handled by Don DuPree. The Creator & Executive Producer
of the show. Very nice guy. But I did get to meet Steve Hart!

    Meatloaf & pdub1819 - Believe it or not in this pack hoard there were 6 Clemente's! 2 9's, 2 7's, 1 backwards on top 8
and 1 in the 48 unopened count box. Just about all of the HOF/Star packs are pop 1's.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

    Craig,

Just Fantastic Items ...... I was just curious, how many cards traditinally would come in the 67 cello's that included the poster?

I was given the answer from George L. / Heritage Collector that the answer is 12 cards per cello. Thanks G!

Thanks for your post on these, as it was a treat to see them!

mojorob - Glad you enjoyed the post. Talking with Steve while he went over and authenticated the packs,
he said depending on the series, they have 11 or 12 cards in a pack. When you consider each
series has 86 cards, that's about 1 in 7 odds of pulling the keys. pretty great odds if you plan on
    opening!
