Feb cc special poppage

Mailed 2/1. Logged on 2/6 popped today. Not bad for 50 biz day turnaround. Can't say I'm happy with the results. Most of the baseball I had as 9 or 10s. The majority of these we're pulled by me from rack packs. The 76 nolan ryan was a psa 8 that I cracked out to sub again, now EOT. Fun times. The 81 porter is pop of 4 with none higher. All are for sale.

    Bummer. Nice work on Porter.

    They could have thrown you a few bones... at least on a few commons or something.

    I'm not seeing many .5's in recent poppages either.

    That looks like one of my submissions. Usually they throw a bone or two, often on the cards that I marked as the lowest grade.image

    The only good news was I submitted 5 cards for review at the regular service level in the same shipment. Those popped as well with 2 of 5 moving up .5 a grade. 1972 topps Nolan Ryan 8-> 8.5 and 1980 Rickey Henderson 8.5-> 9. I'm happy about those two image

    Nice bumps! Saved your bacon on those, at least!

    Tough grades on regular sub, particularly on the 81s.


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    The two bumps definitely helped me cover the costs of the other sub. I've actually had decent success getting bumps on some of my reviews over the years. Probably average about 30-35% success rate. Given this latest raw sub, my days of ripping vintage and subbing might be over.

    Congrats on the bumps, but jeez, what's up with these grader's on the raw sub ? If your anything like me, I assume you submitted your best, and not one gem mint hit ? Also, like mentioned above, not one 8.5 ? I realize scarcity will drive people to hunt for those 10's, but come on. I will say that I'm jealous of your turn around time though. Are you sleeping with someone at PSA ? Just kidding, lol.
    I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid.

    I went ahead a put most of these up on eBay. Check out the scans to let me know if you think these were under graded. Overall, I'd say a lot of these 8s and 9s are very high end for the grade.

    If you're interested in purchasing, I've got most of them starting at $4.99 and will combine shipping charges.

    I've been noticing the exact same thing. I've had three submissions pop so far in 2014. One was 226 cards, one was 47 cards and finally a CC renewal sub of 15 cards. Out of a total of 288 card, I received zero half grades.
