Sounds like he should not be allowed a vote

    Delete ballot / Ban voter
  • I've been of the opinion that these clowns that omit obvious choices or just leave their entire ballot blank should be stripped of their vote. It is a debate if Morris is a HOF player or not, there is no debate about Maddux.

When, exactly, is this PED era?

The most ridiculous part of the whole thing is he doesn't even follow his own rationale. Morris played until 1994. The PED Era was in full swing with the Bash Brothers et al by then so by his own standards Morris played in the PED era also. I agree with the other posters that his ballot should be stripped from him.

Morris played with at least one user in Detroit. I would virtually guarantee it. That particular voter is creating his own rationale, in his own make believe universe.

If we stripped everyone who shouldn't have a HOF ballot, I'm not sure we'd have 100 votes left.

There has never been a unanimous selection, why start now? It's a broken system in many ways.

Morris was a very good pitcher, but 3.90 ERA gets you into the HOF? I hope not. Very lame for this guy to try and get publicity to influence others to follow his vote. Pretty much saying he thinks Morris can't get in on his own merits (which in my opinion is the way it should be).

Maddux and Morris played for 9 years together during the so called 'PED era', so for the writer to use this rationale is silly.

I don't like writers that grandstand about their voting ballot - just send it in and shut up.
