Is there a website that lists what error cards come in each year/brand. I have tons of football, and baseball cards from the 80's and early 90's that I will be giving away to free up some space. I would like to go through them and pull out any error cards before giving them away. I just don't know what is available in each set.

I don't know of a website that lists all, there are however a couple books. You might search Amazon, abe, et al.

For starters you can type error in the search for these forums and you find a few decent threads. Also a google search will yield some hep, but hang in there we have some error junkies in here.

Most recognized errors or variations will show up in the pop report as long as PSA recognizes them as errors/variations. Some are still not recognized yet by PSA. The 89 Fleer baseball variations are a good example.

1989 Fleer Errors

Randy Johnson RC

1. The first printing of the card shows a red and white Marlboro billboard, complete with Marlboro man, behind Randy's left ear in the background.

2. The second printing still has the entire billboard visible, but dark, reddish shading/shadowing covers Marlboro and the red and white of the sign. Very noticable next to the first printing. Entire sign is still COMPLETELY visible despite shading.

3. The next version still has the sign visible, but there's a black line through the middle of the word Marlboro with the tops of all letters in Marlboro still clearly visible.(you can still tell the sign says Marlboro)

4. This version still shows the red and white of the sign, but there is a black blob where the word Marlboro once was, no longer showing tops of letters.

5. The Marlboro sign is completely gone, but a black rectangle, exactly in the shape of the Marlboro billboard, CLEARLY sticks out from the rest of the black background.

6. The most common "corrected" version. There is absolutely no trace of the Marlboro sign ever being there at all.

The 1990 Donruss set has around 30 or more errors.

One notable one is in the MVP subset #12 Smoltz shows Glavine, corrected is the tuffie it shows Smoltz.

SCD and Beckett put out annuals that list E/V's.

There is a older book, with updates goes up to 1991? (D. Gilkeson) Out of print and last I heard he had 2 left and I referred one guy to him...

Search on Yahoo groups for a E/V group named Card-Variations

Complete Book of Baseball Card E/V 1981-89 ( K. Gregory) Good Luck finding it. If you do, lmk.

I tried looking up "Card-Variations" under yahoo groups and all I could find was one group related to Dwight Evans. The rest were dedicated to playing cards.

Meteorite, that is a fabulous list of error cards you've compiled. Can you go to each card and indicate if there's a premium on price due to the error? JK, thanks for the post!!!
