Show your cello or wax packs!

I'm thinking of buying a few late 70's and early 80's cello packs from Steve and would enjoy seeing some of the board members cello's for inspiration. Let's see em! Thanks.

    Sorry, I'm a wax guy.

But it does fit in into your 70's/80's category.

Nice packs. I tried looking for my 1985 Topps football cello with the Marino record breaker on front and the Marino regular card on back. Sorry I could not find it. Pretty neat pack though.

Here is an unusual one. 1986 Topps with a blank back card on bottom. There is also about 6 more inside the pack I think. The top is pete Rose but it is not one of the blank backs.

Anyone remember the 89-90 Fleer Basketball Cello that was on ebay that had Larry Bird on every front and back? Think it was legit? That pack was really cool if it was legit.

Those 3 89 fleer racks most likely have a Ripken version in them about 4 or 5 cards under the regular Sabo.

Pretty impressive, but no 1988 Topps?? I know where you can find a couple of those if you're interested and have the money.

Decided to order a 1979 baseball cello and a 1978 football cello from Steve. Planning on keeping the cellos unopened and trying to build a small unopened 70's collection. Thanks to those who posted!

I remember seeing a auctionor two with 1986 Topps with BB on bottom. I tried but gave up early. Also seen a few 86 or 88 T with FB and BB mixed.

    Thank you !
Yes, those Hockey boxes are full, they are:
    75 -76 Topps ' 76-77 Topps
    77-78 Topps 77-78 OPC WHA '78-79 Topps

Another one of my favorite things which I couldn't fit in the pic is a '75-76 Topps Rack Pack

It was the first year of my collecting cards, and we always stopped at the Valley Dairy Store after church and my little brother and I bought Hockey cards since we just got our weekly allowances. Grand Forks, North Dakota.

I'd love to keep going earlier with the graded wax packs, but they start to get really expensive really fast. I think the art on the wax packs is also pretty cool.

leftofdial, those are awesome! I remember opening '71 packs when I was a kid, one day I'll have to track down a pack.

Agreed that the art on the packs (and boxes) are really cool, the graphics being so indicative of the era.
