Another pay cut...best way to move cards?

Hey guys. More continued anxiety because I got paid today and received another pay cut. This really stinks. I hope that this interview on Sunday goes well.
Anyway, I was to preface this by saying I'm not posting cards here on this thread. I'm not trying to sell cards here, so please save the criticisim for some other time I really don't need it right now.
I'm going to go through and pick out my favorite players and team (the Indians) from my collection and let everything else go.
What is the easiest, quickest, most profitable way to sell all the rest off. I know that there will be time that has to be invested in doing this, but ebay doesn't seem to be cutting it.
Any serious suggestions. I really don't need any pithy comments today, so if we could keep this one to a serious nature that would be great. Thanks guys.

If you have any Philadelphia Athletes, Rickey Henderson or NBA Cards (pre-1990 and/or Signed HOFers) I would be interested in helping take some off your hands.

Good luck with the interview!

Good luck on the interview this weekend.
<< <i>I'm assuming that selling off the small amount of vintage if have would be a first. Then I guess the game used and auto cards next? >>
prioritize what you like the best, and sell that last. this could be a temporary down turn for you and you'll regret selling your favorite stuff

Game used cards typically have very little re-sale value unless you have a Babe Ruth or someone of that ilk. The prices realized on modern players is just too variable, and most of the time the GU guys at my local card shows have everything at half off book and are willing to deal even further from there.
I am not even a big Red Sox fan, but I picked up a "triple" UD Yaz GU for 2 bucks a month ago. You may have better luck with the autographs if they are of popular players or rookies.

Thanks

Buying Vintage, all sports.
Buying Woody Hayes, Les Horvath, Vic Janowicz, and Jesse Owens autographed items
As to your question, I don't think one methods really covers all of your requirements. Easiest, quickest, & most profitable will end up contradicting each other regarding sales methods. The most profitable would probably be ebay, especially for the vintage stuff, but that's not the quickest or easiest imo. Quickest is probably to list in the BST forum here (like others have suggested). That also seems like it would be easy, although I have not personally done any business through there. Another person mentioned that ebay is good for small lots of cards. I agree with that, but realize that you probably won't get as much as if you sold the cards individually (again, easy and somewhat quick, but not the most profitable). I think that the card show suggestion is also valid if you really want to get rid of a big chunk of it at one time (for lower prices of course). Good luck!

<< <i>What about signed baseballs? I have a couple of those. >>
To be quite honest signed baseballs do not fetch a ton of money on Ebay versus what you paid for the item, and unless you have a legit COA you will probably even get less money.
Who do you have that you are looking to sell?

<< <i>It's a special circumstance that I can't really get into. I understand what you're saying, but because of the circumstance this is what has to be done. Sorry to be sketchy, but it's cool. There's a reason why it has to be on Sunday from all parties perspectives, including me. >>
You interviewing to become the Ravens new Head Coach?
It's important to make sure that when situations like this come up you have some cash reserves. It's suggested you have enough money in the bank to survive for 6 months. Just be careful with your spending, it's so easy to buy stuff you dont need or cant afford.
And no, I wish I had that coaching position. I could probably pay off the small amount to debt I have in a year and never worry about anything like that again.
who do you work for? scrooge?
<< <i>Your absolutely right! And the investment I was involved in went south. Then things picked up again, and stupid me thought everything was okay. Wrong. Brother in law cut my pay again.

Brother-in-law cut your pay?
I'd go egg his house in the middle of the day.
Say, "Sorry BRO. You suck."
<< <i>It's my wife's sister's husband. >>
Is that a B-I-L once removed?
I mean cut my pay? I'm the guy working with the Fortune 500, movie studios, entertainment biz people. I'm the one rakin in high $ clients. And this is the treatment that I get?! I've already told one person this morning they were better off dealing with someone else.

If you are bringing in the contacts and big money (no whammy... STOP), I suggest that you consider going out on your own.
