But what should I expect from a company which doesn't know how to spell the word "receive" LOL

I really have nothing against ebay and actually do enjoy buying and selling there, but virtually every company on earth whenever doing more business with them, will lower pricing...but not ebay it seems.

Why not have as a "standard" benefit to being a PowerSeller a reduction in some of the fees? I guess that might make sense? LOL

If anyone can say what REAL benefit there is to being a PowerSeller, I would like to know. Thanks!
  • Sir, how dare you. I am a proud member of the Bronze Powerseller club and it's one of the greatest achievements of my life. People like you give us hard-working Powersellers a bad name. You think it's easy to maintain a 97% positive feedback record while selling hundreds of dollars worth of items? How dare you sir. How dare you.

  • In alot of ways the negs of being a Power Seller outweigh the pluses. I get an invite to join about once every month but refuse to do so. Last time I did when the logo was put on my listings I saw a 20% drop in final sale prices almost right away. In one of my major categories many buyers simply refuse to buy from Power Sellers. I know of several sports card buyers who also refuse to buy from one. I myself am leary of buying from them, most of my buying problems have been when dealing with Power Sellers.

Warning: The following statement is not meant to be a blanket statement on all powersellers, just an observation

Many scammers use the PowerSeller identity to pull of scams. It means absolutley nothing at all. Heck, I only sell a little, but have been offered "status" as a powerseller. I agree that Powerseller status should include more than customer service support that EVERY ebay member should have anyway. How about 5 cent listing fees, or better yet..FREE listings. I mean, ebay will make more money from these fantastic sellers on final value fees alone.

    STAY AWAY..BE VERY AFRAID
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY
