Poll Vote for the next FOOTBALL wax rip!!!! Get your vote in poll closes 1/28 9pm Pst

Ok guys I took into account everyones thoughts from the suggestion thread and here are 3 options I believe can make everyone happy We would vote as a group and the poll with the most votes we will start a signup thread. I took into account what everyone asked about and these seem to be something that we as a group can decide on that would bring the most bang for the buck and fun as a group.

option 1) 1 pack each 1976/77/78/79/80/81/82/83/84/85/86 topps and a 89 score
12 packs 150 per person

option 2) 1 pack each 1977/78/79/80/81/82/83/84/85/86/87 topps and a 89 score
12 packs 105 per person

option3) Part A 24 people 1974/75/76/77/78/79/80/81/82/83/84 topps
11 packs 230 pp
Part B 12 people 76/77/78/79/80/81/82/83/84 topps
9 packs 130pp

There are 2 parts 2 option 3 because the 74 and 75 box only have 24 packs so we would need 24 guys in for 74-84 and 12 guys in for the 76-84

give or take e few $ on each option. If we come to a consensus as a group ill work out the price with steve and get a final cost the 77 and 80 box will come from either bbce or dacardworld whoever tracks it down for us first and i'll figure totals out paypal fees and shipping. Yes im sure we would all like to add or take something out of these options but I took the input of those who reponded and this seems like the best options to make enough people happy to make the rip happen.Plus theres 3 price ranges from high to low for us all to choose from
we would need 36 people or less if some want more then 1

What do you guys think

I acutally pulled a Walter Payton rookie from the ONLY 1976 topps football pack I have ever opened.

It was an amazing card and actually sent it in the monday follwing the pull around 1999.

It got a PSA 9 NQ! I remember it went for 600+ on ebay back then!

the card was centered 50/50 all around and the ONLY flaw was a very small dot in the white border at the bottom corner.

I am almost certain it would have been a PSA 10 without that ever small dot!

It was a BLAZER and I hope somebody gets the same type card out of our box we buy!

It is one of the few that I sold that I wish I hadn't because I pulled it myself!

The pack was 50.00! The grading was 25.00 I believe back then for the service I got!

It was before online look up and I remember calling PSA and them having the grades for me!

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

  • Thanks for the explanation 80sjunkie this looks like lots of fun i voted for option1 I too think it would be cool to see someone pull a payton rookie. Hopefully I can join in the fun option3 is a little out of my range right now.

Heres another question theres like 40 plus votes but only like 5 people have chimed on the thread. Wouldn't it be nice to hear why everyone voted the way they did?
  • Well it looks by the number of votes we have enough people who want to rip. Let say we leave the poll thread open till 9pm pst tommorrow night 1/28 the option with the most votes I will start an official signup threadimage

How about a live 40 pack 2006 exquisite rip? Id be up for that!

  • I voted for option #3 because it offers a wide variety of packs that weren't covered in our last rip (1980 through 1989 Topps+ '89 score pack). It also offers 2 price points -- a higher one with packs from '74 and '75 and another price on par with the other 2 options, so there's something for everyone. Although, only 12 people could choose option B and 24 would have to choose A to make it work. Still, option 3 is easily the most appealing to me because of the large percentage of packs from the '70s, while still including some of the big '80s years.

  • Not to hijack the thread. I am willing to donate enough 88 football packs to sweeten your rip. I don't want any $$.
Let me know who to send them to
