This is a Beckett Raw Card Review 7.5- Think it has a shot at an 8?

Centering is fine for an 8, but those bottom two corners give me pause...

That is a tough call with those two corners, especially the bottom right. I would say it doesn't have much more than an outside chance. But, I have been wrong before! Good luck to you!

I think you are looking at a PSA 7, due to the corners and centering.

It's been said a half-dozen times, but I'll concur that it looks no better than a 7 as well. The centering is strong enough and color looks good, but I think that indentation on the right border, the mild chipping w/color loss and the bottom two corners will keep you out of that Nm_Mt 8 holder. Still a great card to own though.

Allen, what do you have to pay for the card? I'd bet the "7.5" means the seller will price it thinking it could be an 8 (one of the main problems with half grade nonsense). If you can get it for $200 or so, I'd roll the dice on it. At least, you hope the BGS folks can tell a counterfeit or not.

BGS 7.5s go for about $425+ and PSA 7s bring about $400+
eye appeal brings a big premium on the 7 range stuff.

In all fairness the scan makes the corners look really bad, the card looks better in person- but I still thought my odds were 1/10 of getting an 8.

Didn't realize that 7's were bringing that much - I know 8's are getting $500-$600 still, right? In any event - you are right about eye appeal being worth a premium. It's a nice card, but if you have to pay that much for it, I'd pass.
