Mudflap02's Annual PSA Board Member of the Year

This is my contest, but I think I speak for everyone when I congratulate

STONE193

image

For being the member of the year. Thanks for your insight on cards, your cool head in the skankiest of threads, and your tolerance with newbies. Men want to be you, and women want to... sell your cards and buy purses. Please make the most of your mudflap, and keep in mind that it will be passed to someone else in July 2006.

Everyone else, post away - I dare you to flame this guy.

My Astros cap is off to you Sir.

I like Mike as much as anyone here, but come on now. He hasn't been banned or even reprimanded ONCE all year. He's even polite to the flame trolls, for chrissake!

Seriously, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

    What a coincidence !

Stone was the front-runner to win an unprecedented third consecutive Wolfie award
for excellence in posting this year, but got nosed out at the last minute by ...

Just kidding ... Stone won that award again this year too. image

Maybe this is going to be a spam thread to promote Mike's company, Pogo Stick Grading. Perhaps Mudflap just became a major shareholder and was named Vice President.

A conspiracy theory! I love those. Hmm remember when Dave Foreman started tearing apart PSA and pimping SGC, his new grader of choice? Shortly thereafter SGC announced Foreman was their new president .... So muddy, if you are a newly appointed executive of PogoStick Grading, you'd better come clean now before the rumors start flying.

I would have posted earlier, but I just spent the morning with my son, opening and sorting thru a box of Dinosaur Attacks packs that Mike had sent him a few months back. Griffin's joy at putting together the sets was equaled only by my feeling of thanks for having a friend like Mike.
Good choice, does he get slabbed in a special holder now?

I also agree with this year's winner. I didn't hear who was runner-up though? I'm going to go with Knuckles, who will undoubtedly find a way to slab his mud-flap along with a cut autograph of Ken Dryden.

    And Mr. Stone-

You can definitely be expecting a strange package in the mail soon. Ask pAndrews about strange packages (he knows about more than one kind of strange package, but preface it with baseball cards in the mail).

Congrats for winning this prestigious award. The Academy spent weeks covening before the final results were delivered.

    It’s short Perry.

Thanx! To be recognized by peers/friends is an honor.

Keep in mind, anyone here is only as good as the great company they keep.

It’s a privilege to meet with you all every day and exchange our thoughts on what most would agree is a passion. Why we do it, is a personal/individual thing.

    Your friend

It's really a shame that a thread initially designed to congratulate Mike for all of his fine posts, has disintegrated into nothing but a tawdry spectacle devoted to females with large breasts.

    ...and I'm loving it image

I'm sorry for running this down hill.

It's just we all know that we can never stay serious for more than 10 minutes!

Lostdart - I know what you're saying - and I think the humor of the chests as a metaphor was missed.

My point: this is a great hobby and IMO, should not be taken too seriously in the big picture of life.

When we hold on too tight - and some debates have gone that way - it eventually "holds on to us."
