Here are three scans of sets that I am working on and that I have on the computer. The first is from 1962 Civil War News. The second is from the 1972 set called Hitmakers. The third is from the T68 set called Men/Heroes of History.
David, really cool stuff!
I thought you would enjoy this pic (from the February Mastro auction). They had a almost complete set of these 1910s T68 Royal Bengals Little Cigars "Heroes of History/Men of History" (89/100). The lot sold for $840.00.
I would be funny if you were the winner of this beautiful lot! (David, if you were, I didn't realize these could be the same as yours Ooops!
Here is the scan from Mastro:

Some say circa mid-1980's! I have no clue if this is true or not! (...the Seller claimed these stickers are from a vending machine & these were reprints of old Columbia Picture photos)... I have other action shots that show this funny trio doing, you gesssed it, some silly stuff! LOL!

Well, this is another fine mess you've gotten me into, David.
That set is awesome - so much nicer than the late 60's Topps offerings. Topps didn't understand that rock n roll was not the Monkees and the Partridge Family.

Will be getting em' ready for PSA!

1936 37 Greiling Movie Star. Picked up for a little over $7.
And some N150's. These arrived today and they set me back a whole $3.75. Backs on these have some damage but at this price for cards this old it doesn't matter to me at all.

I am impressed with the variety of sets you are working on. I like those Disney cards. You should look into the 1971 Disney set produced by Anglo Confectionary, Inc. in England. They are expensive but worth it. You can usually find them on the eBay UK site.

<< <i>gotsparks09: I really like those superhero cards. If I wanted to put a set together, which one do you think looks the nicest. Is it better to build a set from packs? Thanks.
David >>
It's pretty easy to get these types of sets from the 1990's off of Ebay for $20 or less for complete base sets. It'd cost a lot more to put them together from packs. It's not as easy to get say...a 1993 Marvel Masterpieces pack as it is to get a 1993 Topps Baseball pack.
Chase card values depend on the set, though. Some chase cards are VERY tough to find for some reason. I can remember ripping pack after pack of all sorts of comic cards as a kid, and rarely got a chase card for most sets. I ripped HUNDREDS of 1995 Ultra Spiderman packs and only ONCE got one of those Clear Chromes you see above. I think I maybe pulled two Holoblasts. My friends didn't have much luck either.
Here's an example of how hard the chase cards for some sets can be to find:
EBay Auction
This auction still boggles my mind. You can piece together most of these chase sets over the course of a month on Ebay for maybe $100 total. Every one of these base sets could be had for $10-$20. Anyone else maybe know what is up with this? Are one of these chase cards sets near impossible or something????
Sorry to tell you most of these sets are pretty easy to get nowadays, and then show you this auction link. But the auction boggles me. I'm pretty sure this isn't normal.
Picked up this boxed set of Walt Disney Productions game cards.
Called Mickey Mouse Library of Games, made in 1946 by Russell Mfg. Company, Leicester, Mass.
There are six sets of game cards,
Vol. 1 - Donald Duck
Vol. 2 - Pinocchio
Vol. 3 - Mickey Mouse
Vol. 4 - Bambi
Vol. 5 - The Three Little Pigs
Vol. 6 - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
I have scanned one card from Donald Duck game (volume 1) and another from the Mickey Mouse game (volume 3) for your enjoyment!
