    Brad (Braddick),

Several months ago (Sept 2008) you stated that you did not receive this 1943 MS65 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. I worked with both my post office and yours during a week and a half process trying to locate it. And then for a month I hoped it would have been returned. Despite the coin being delivered and confirmed by tracking number you still stated that you didn't receive it and filed a paypal claim against me. I had no liability as the coin was confirmed delivered, but I went way out my way to accommodate you. I see you have OBVIOUSLY found it as it is posted here on the PCGS collectors forum. I thought this looked way to familiar and after reading through the past emails and matching up names I realized that this was in fact you.

So where did you find it? Why the paypal claim?

Aberlight I was pleased, after approximately five weeks, to have this one arrive safe and sound. The packaging was slightly tattered but the coin inside was perfect. It was worth the wait!
Out of thousands of transactions, I had never had a coin lost and this one eventually arriving keeps that record 100%.
Thanks for all the extra work on your end, it as appreciated. I knew you had mailed it and never doubted any of your emails to me. You were on top of it with your post office and your contact with me. Over and beyond, actually.

Thank you for an honest auction description about the coin and the patience to get through a few of my admittedly frustrated emails to you.

I was anxious to get this one and add it to my collection.

I am glad it arrived. In 9 years on Ebay this was the only time I had an item lost and as a result I started requiring insurance. The idea of someone not receiving a purchased really bothered me. It is a nice coin and there were many moments aside from the loss in mail situation that I regretted selling. Happy for you that you received it and that you enjoy it enough to post.

    My thoughts exactly.

I always had heard of members not getting their coin(s) from an auction yet had never had it happen to me.
I would have been especially PO'ed as this is definitely one I wanted to add to my set and not a coin I planned to flip.

(It's too bad, in a way, the USPS can't be held responsible for late delivery to a point the postage is refunded somehow. The grief they cause- for both parties- should not be dismissed so easily by them.)

  • Wouldn't it have made sense to tell the seller you had finally received the coin as a common courtesy?
  • Yeah ........................... something stinks pretty bad here

Wow, you didn't notify the seller that the coin arrived safely? Even with all the emails you two exchanged?
