~*~*~ LordM's mid-May $100-150 PayPal challenge! ~*~*~

Time for another PayPal challenge. Who can tempt me out of some of the digital dollars I've squirreled away?

Here are the guidelines this time:

1. Must be a PCGS certified coin (though I'll consider NGC if it's an ancient). TrueView pictures are a big plus.

2. Must be pre-1935 (but modern gold is OK). Need not necessarily be a US coin- I like nice world coins, too. (The older the better, in those.)

3. Must be an eyepopper. In other words, it must ooze eye appeal. It need not necessarily be PQ in terms of technical (numerical) grade, but it must have great eye appeal. Luster is very important to me on coins over XF. Strike less so, though I don't want anything with a below-average strike, obviously. I like nice toning like anybody else, but if it ain't evenly distributed or pretty, I would rather have an untoned coin. (And I do not have a problem with white silver, if the luster's there.) Let me say now that I am not the kind of person who pays multiples of a coin's value as a premium for nice toning. (I might go 10-20% for really nice target toning, tops.)

4. Must be priced somewhere in the $100-150 range.

5. Must be priced reasonably vis-a-vis PCGS priceguide, Numismedia FMV, and Redbook (since I don't use Greysheet). Or Krause, in terms of world coins. In other words, I need to be able to flip it for a modest profit within a month or two. I do not expect you to offer me a true mega monster at a dirt cheap price, but I am looking for good value and something with a reasonable resale margin.

6. Though this thread is primarily focused on me buying one nice coin, I'm not against the idea of possibly buying, oh, say two supernice $50-75 coins as a single lot, for example... provided both of them are beauties.

Whatcha got? Lemme see 'em! image
