The coin was so nice it changed my collecting strategy...(Updated with rather large pics)

I bought a fabulous coin today from CRO. No pics so you'll just have to take my word for it.
But here's the point of my post: For the past couple of years I have been focusing adamantly on building a type set of colonial era coins with a known provenance. And I've been pretty good about making sure the coin is all there before I would even consider it. Although I will admit to letting my standards slip a little once or twice in the interest of finding a specific coin to fit my set.
Well the coin I bought today was minted in 1723, it's graded PCGS MS65RB, it's in an old green holder, and it has a CAC sticker (my first CAC coin and, although a positive attribute, it's the least important attribute to me). But the coin does not have a known provenance.
So while provenance is still important to me, I will not strictly limit myself to them any more.
Some coins just make you say "WOW" when you see them. Those are the coins for me, regardless of the pedigree.
Just thought I'd share this with you.
And...Thanks CRO!

Out of the 400+ dimes in my collection only a handful are pedigreed. I wouldn't have much of a collection.
And I think opening yourself and your set up to a wider variety of selections will help you in this hobby, and your collection.
I bet it is a monster to make you change up though huh?

It literally took a couple of hours for me to decide. I knew I wanted the coin the minute I saw it, but I wasn't sure I was willing to change my collecting strategy to get it.
Can't wait to see the pics of what took you off the straight and narrow!!

I'll get pics as soon as possible.
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

<< <i>Provenance is nice, but I don't understand why you would want to limit your collection. IT'S ABOUT THE COINS! I guess we agree now!
It can be about the coin AND the provenance sometimes. Just not this time...and not every time.

<< <i>Well ... it has a pedigree now
Yup. Ex CRO.

That just makes it even better, imo.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Yeah, that's what I said when I saw it!

A good friend helped me out and pointed me in the right direction!
<< <i>So have you told Mrs. MidLifeCrisis about your newp
Yes...and she approved!
In other words, she was indifferent about it!

And great coin BTW. I can see why it had such a big effect on you. Because it has on me too.
