Elemenopeo started a thread about getting a Mantle rookie back in 2007 and I was always thinking of doing the same thing but on a much smaller scale.

I collect the Pro Football Hall of Fame Rookie set. I am a hair over 50% of the way done but needs some huge players. One being Jim Brown.

Since the Brown is a card I am planning on keeping and not doing charity work with it like Elemenopeo I wanted to start with a more valuable card that I would be able to trade up to eventually get the Brown either graded or raw. I am not looking for a pristine card either. PSA 3 or 4 quality.

1-11-2010 No offers in over three weeks. I am spicing up the deal by adding two HOF Rookies from my own personal collection and removing the PSA 8 Elway and Rice rookie.

Up for trade now are the following.

I truly don't know what it is worth. I am hoping to get a few offers and take the best one. I have only seen one of these RAW besides this one before it was sent to PSA.

I have two good offers so far, just contemplating which one. I told a local hobby store about my quest and he offered a near set of 1984 USFL missing Young and Kelly but with a PSA 8 Reggie White. That is where I am leaning at this time.

It has been a slow week. I have not had any inquiries. What are your thoughts on what I have on the table? Should I have more vintage or have a mix like I have now?

I think you have some great cards listed right there.Are you looking to trade the lot for the Brown?
What about selling them indivually,should be enough to get a nice 4 for sure,maybe a 5,with the prices lately.

Thanks for the idea of selling separately and using the cash. That may work, I saw a nice four that sold for $150. That is what I am aiming for.
