Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free
I believe that 05-O Morgan was really a branch mint proof, so check the rims. Check out Judd-1772.9834923048.
I also understand it was coined by the "midnight minters" by candle light after an 04 obverse die was hastily modified to form a 5 out of the 4, so possibly it is a fantasy overdate.
Would you be interested in a trade?? I have a nice 1881-S Morgan. It is graded MS73* by NGC. It is the highest coin that they ever graded, but they put an asterisk next to it due to the allegation of luster growth hormones and strike steroids. Let me know.

I've got just the thing for you. All freshly holed. I can take 'em off my vest and put 'em back in the original box.
Would you like the set with or without the 1804 dollar?
<< <i>1815 large cent, MS64 BN
1922-S Lincoln cent, MS66 RD
1874 2 cent piece, PR65 RB
1868 with rays Shield nickel, MS66
1922 Mercury dime, MS66 FB
1875 Seated dollar, MS62
1905-O Morgan dollar, MS65 DMPL >>
that 05 would be pretty pricey......
But it has to be an authentic 1815 cent.
Eh, whoopsie- I just realized I was TTT-ing my "sale" thread excessively and now the mods are likely to delete it... or me.
Sorry. I was having so much fun that I forgot.
Happy April Fool's Day, everyone. I claimed two or three victims this year, with the same list from a few years ago (upgraded slightly, of course).
Mods- before you spank me, I shall now cease and desist and let this thread sink.
