Re: Fake 1968 Cello Pack with Mantle
Yep, I imagine the scambuster must have told this scammer seller to F* off right after he won the auction. LOL Stinkin' scammer now has it as a "buy it now" much cheaper than the previous auction sale price - what a total POS. Guaranteed to get a trimmed or filled in pinholed Mantle and the rest 6 type commons, worth less… -
Re: Bummer! Looks like we already has a casualty from the new feedback policy!
<< <i> << <i> << <i>Here is the negative from the buyer if anyone is interested feedback left by buyer >> Thanks for the heads up! oc*coins now resides on my blocked bidder list! >> I don't think the problem lies with the bidder on this one. Ever hear of the Savannah Scammer? >> Yes, I've heard of the infamous Savannah… -
Re: Heads up for possible ebay scam....
Ebay scammer 101 course: 1. Build up feedback with cheap lots, and sell just enough to become a Power Seller. 2. Come in for the kill with expensive lots and stiff the buyers. Ebay account gets naru'd. 3. Open a new bank account, open a new ebay account, and repeat 1 & 2. The only way these filthy scammers are going to… -
Re: Did I just avoid a scam?
Had this happen to me as well. However, real eBay buyer was legit and I shipped to eBay confirmed address—no problems. My feeling is these scammers look for recently closed auctions for high value items and ask in a separate eBay internal mail to send somewhere else. It always is a pasted address (photo) in the mail. I… -
Re: WATCH OUT EBAY THIEF IS BACK
That's awful. I think the first thing that should go through anyone's head is why a PSA 7 looks like an 8 or 9. The barcode is blurry as well, always a sign. These scammers are getting smarter (using lower grades instead of always 9s and 10s). Yuck... the scammer is here and probably learns how to hone his craft by reading… -
Re: eBay doesn't care; does PCGS?
maybe we're thinking about the problem all wrong, and should be grateful to the scammers what would happen if every coin on ebay was listed correctly and genuine? people would write bots that automatically buy coins listed well below their price guide value and snipe auctions for them its fun to think about unintended… -
Re: I have been under the assumption that the Patent date for coin wrappers
Technically, couldn't they be original bank-wrapped rolls if the bank wrapped them yesterday? The issue is scammers playing on people's lack of knowledge, and I would bet most scammers don't know wrappers didn't exist back then. I would guess from Bstrauss's note above that banks just used to wrap coins in butcher paper,… -
Re: What happened to Braddick on ebay?

<< <i>edit to add: I know it sounds like russ is implying that braddick is a scammer, but I don't believe he meant for it to sound that way >> I took it to mean the opposite, that the scammers still live on ebay, but the respectable sellers, ie. Braddick, get the boot. I would imagine it's something as minor as an expired… -
Re: Message from Paypal?

Log in to your account via the PayPal website home page, not via any link in the email. Check your messages there. If not there, I would be suspicious at the very least. However improbable it seems that scammers could find out about your transactions, they may just be playing the odds that at Christmas, people will send… -
Re: Worst Ebayer ever???
He isn't a bad Ebayer, he's a decent scammer. Me, I was drooling over the BINs for the X-Box 360s this year, it reminded me of my Playstation2 Christmas. The rubes were buying my .jpg of a Playstation2 for $399 and *begging* me for more. That's why I say he's only a decent scammer. I at least sent the buyer the product I…
