Most dealers don't have them, which is understandable. (I don't buy ones as nice as your avatar coin, the 1838 V-14; that coin is the second finest… -

Interesting post. Looks like there's gonna be more competition for the non-RD early Lincolns. I looked at 4 BN 14-Ds today. Two PCGS holdered and two raw. The graded ones were not eye appealing at all. The raw ones looked better but I still don't feel expert enough to pull the trigger on, for me, expensive coins like that. -

Brian - Good points. So, if there are very few raw 26-Ds in 64-66 that have survived, then it has to be the "key" versus what is to be perceived as a non-key, or semi-key. If what you say is true, then the 26-D should be in a similar class as the 14-D - maybe the 14-D prices will come down to the 26-D rather than the other… -
