Re: Torre Turns Down Yankee's Offer!
<< <i>What am I missing here? Torre looks bad turning down 5 mill + incentives. He'd still be the highest paid manager by far so what's his problem? >> His 'problem' is that he'd be going through this same exact uncertainty next year when his terribly put together teams sucks in the postseason again. It sure wasn't his… -
Re: How do you handle hagglers at shows?
You don’t seem to get it. Refusing to pay full asking price for anything isn’t insulting to the large majority of posters here. But your comments - such as the one copied below - directed at those who do things differently than you, is extremely insulting. Please feel free to clutch away at your pearls and I’m sure you… -

Re: Just messin' around with the D70 (2005 SAE) - Warning: Very Large Image
No jackass, you inserted yourself in this thread to play bigshot. Now go and suck up to the snake some more. Again, you must resort to namecalling and this time stoop low enough to hold one's association to someone as a vice. This only proves you have nothing left to argue. Fighting with you is like being nibbled to death… -
Re: First PCGS certified 2009 Ultra High Relief

<< <i> << <i> << <i>Of course the first coin was gonna be a 70. It would look ridiculous if it was a 69. >> Exactly what I said. And: << <i>some people wait their whole posting lives to get a "you suck" award and you did it in 37 posts, anyway congrats. >> What is the criteria for a Suck anyway? And at what point is it… -
Re: Customer Disservice
But, again, the point is that the infrastructure is different. A call center is not the same as the owner picking up the phone. So comparing a large entity to a small one seems TO ME unfair. That's not the same as saying PCGS couldn't do better. But NGC is, to me IN MY EVER HUMBLE PUCKING OPINION, a "fair" comparison while… -
Re: Geddy Lee of Rush shows off his collection
I sat in the front row in the 10th grade for signals. There were four shows in a week, 12/2-3/82 at Madison square garden and 12/8-9/82 at Nassau coliseum. I saw all four, sitting front row for the last and was a celebrity at school for a month for it. It was amazing, but also sucked a bit. Everyone was rushing the stage… -
Re: Anyone want to buy this group for $6,000 before it goes to ebay?

Good pix. Now, next time, put up the pix initially, perhaps include a brief descriptive note of each of the items you wish to sell, do your absolute best to refrain from alienating, or describing your potential customers in such a derogatory manner, and state better the amount you are looking for, or your best estimate as… -
