Re: What's This I Hear About eBay Stopping Coin Sales in 2021?
I hope ebay stops selling coins. I don't know about you guys but it's gotten really bad on the buyer end of things. Sure deals but so many more scammers, glamour shots, weasely sellers etc. I'm okay spending +10% at GC or any other website. I'd pay more simply to change brands of online coin venues just to feel better… -
Re: Reality vs. "what I used to think"

<< <i>I can definitely see where you are coming from. In terms of your current net worth versus your net worth without all of the scamming scum you end up in the same place. It is just a matter of how many zeroes are on the end. Unfortunately. Except for one important detail - if I liquidate it for currency, the "gains"… -
Re: *** Official March Precious Metals Buy / Sell / Trade Thread ***
I have the following for sale... $55.20 in fv 90% silver, mixed as the picture can show. I have simply taken all of my 90% and piled it together. A few of the Morgans are MS+ and some arent. Some of the other coins are MS+. I dont have the time or energy to sort through them and sell them individually. I have written down… -
Re: Yet another paypal ebay rant
<< <i>hehe, the only reason why I used ebay to buy this is because it is a difficult to find item, and I needed it quickly (airmail, not ground). that strategy worked out awesome. I replied to paypal within 10 minutes every time they updated the case, but note that every time I email them here, a different person answers… -
Re: Question about buying high priced coins on eBay -- 1793 Flowing Hair Wreath Cent PCGS XF 40

I called eBay and they said the buyer limits are under PayPal's control and that this is just an advisory message. They transferred me to PayPal and where they explained that the maximum transaction amount is $10,000 and to be covered under both eBay and PayPal buyer protection the seller has to send invoices with a… -
Re: Dealer said customer made false claim on "stolen" Morgan roll
It happens. No one cares, especially the Postal Inspector. I had a 4 coin Gold Proof set go "undelivered." eBay/PayPal looks for tracking and signatures. If those are not in place, you lose. Does not matter how much the seller is lying. After about 2 weeks, the buyer of this set, knowing this that the delivery was not… -
Re: GROUP RIP: 1975 OPC Wax Rip #2! TWO Boxes this time! Scans Posted... A Couple of Grades Posted!
<< <i>I opened my next two packs and got a Tom Seaver which has a wax stain on front (no big deal) and the rest are commons. Condition was pretty close to the first packs so overall alot of chances at 8s and 9s commons. On the issue of people calling out that A. The cards are altered and B. The packs are not legit. First… -
Re: F'n PAYPAL! What is this?
That's not a spoof - if you read his post, he says that when he logged into his account, he found this. While I agree that you have to be very careful, and the scammers get better every day at this (could they please find something more productive to do?) this time it's PayPal at work. I know this, because the same thing… -
Re: Odd piece of Mail, Ebay seller Jeandoll222 arrested
<< <i>I recieved a letter from a federal agent today with the postal inspectors office. It seems a Chicago area individual was accepting payments under assumed names and Po boxes at UPS stores throughout IL, IN, NM, and WI. On 8/18/08 there was an arrest made and Mail fruad charges were filed in relation to this case. BTW… -
Re: Oh no, why did this guy win my auction...
Zef, I don't have an answer for your dilemma. I would like to see ebay change their block bidders policy to something like.... as soon as you (the seller) is getting strung along on a non payment issue, you can file the NPB alert and add the deadbeat to your blocked bidder list. Which in turn would automatically block this…
