Re: PORNO in coin section?
<< <i>Internet Explorer reported it as a phishing website when I clicked on the listing. >> Yes, these are becoming quite common on eBay. Scammer posts provocative auction listing, and then when the suckers click on it they get phished. Just one more thing (out of many) to watch out for. Kinda cool that the IE7 phishing… -
Re: DLRC Return Policy - Updated with DLRC Reply

<< <i>To compare them to eBay scam artists is over the top and tells me that you've never done business with them. >> Perhaps you missed my point…perhaps I presented it poorly. My intent was not to compare DLRC to ebay scammers, but rather to say I feel that charging a restocking fee is a bad move by a respected dealer.… -
Re: Newbie needs help with eBay!
Make sure you bite it to see if it is real. Unless I know him or the guy has been selling a while, I won't buy an unslabbed Gold. Not because you can't get your money back with PayPal, but more because its just a pain in the ass if the seller is a scammer or just inept. Like the other posters, get your money back and move… -
Re: FRAUD ALERT: Ebay pulls all of pack counterfeiter (hotstuffcollector)'s listings!!
Nothing like a diplomatic scammer....actually a shrewd way to keep the burned from getting all heated up as refunds will satisfy the small pct of buyers who catch on while the majority keep bidding away without a clue. "I'm not the original owner of these packs" LOL!! That's rich coming from a guy who actually put together… -
Re: Virus received from this board?
I have received several scam paypal emails that have contained viruses. Apparently the scammers are now including a worm I guess to try and infect the papal or ebay site when you forward it to spoof@paypal or ebay.com. Mcaffee picks it up right away when I hit send and will not allow it to send. It could be coming from one… -
Re: What constitutes legal proof that i mailed a coin?
nobody know's whats in the package. There were scammers selling computers on ebay. When the buyers opened the packages they contained phone books. I suspect it was multiple complaints that gave the complainers validity. I always figured if I REALLY wanted to be protected I would pay a well know dealer I trusted to package… -
Re: Mantle rookie scam du jour
Yea, I had also seen this lot from this jerk. The usual scam with a 52 Mantle and some other cards or lots. Seems like the same 2, 3 or 4 scammers over and over again. Using new names, hijacked names, etc., etc. Ebay really needs to come up with some type of much better identity/address verification system. -
Re: Best Consignment Options for BBCE Boxes?
So I have a follow up question. I'm also looking to sell an 89 fleer basketball bbce wrapped box. If I post on the for sale forum here, do people pay thru PayPal? Are there a lot of scammers out there? I've been on ebay for 20+ years with 10,000 pos. Feedback, but how would people know I'm legit on this forum? -
Re: Absurd price being asked for a Cheerios Cent!
well done. i do see that on the page now. ALSO, it looks like the same item sold a few times on ebay over a couple/few years. if someone hasn't ran down the actual listings by the time i fix and eat my lunch, i'll dig into it a bit more. fwiw (this could be an opportunity to blast there being 5000 versions of items and how… -
Re: Could this be a scam by an eBay buyer?
Feebay doesn’t care because they get their money either way. Sellers can’t leave negative feedback for buyers. You can start doing a search on badbuyerlist.org before you ship stuff out, but I’m not sure if sellers update too often anymore. Too many scammers on eBay for me to sell anything I won’t give away for free.
