Re: Top 10 Unbreakable Sports Records
<< <i>Boxing is about as close to dead as it can be. If you asked 100 people on the street to name the current heavyweight champion for any of the governing bodies I would be surprised if more than 2 people could do it. (that might be on the high side as well). >> I live in a little town called Orwell, OH. Don King has a… -
Re: If I regrade my OGH copper with Secure Plus out of principle as a coin doctor deterrent...
Yes, you will be shooting yourself in the foot....with both barrels. I think most here if given a 2nd chance wouldn't have cracked out any of their pre-1990 holdered coins. The transient "benefit" of seeing a coin in a higher holder may not be outweighed by leaving the coin in the older holder. In many cases the early… -

This might tick off all the Bronx Baby Boobers Mickey Mantle is the most over rated player of all time! IMO The stat that jumps out at me is he only had 4 seasons out of 18 where he drove in 100+ RBIs..... and he batted… -
Re: Can someone please explain the Donruss / Optic "Downtown" Craze to me?
The younger folks like cartoons on cards. The Downtowns are very popular. The Manga sports cards were popular. Topps Chrome now has a variation case hit card which is a cartoon. And Pokemon cards are now more popular than sports cards, and its changing at a very rapid clip. I had to delete and redownload the PSA app… -
Re: Clipped Planchet?
It's good, I could tell from the original pictures. Here is what I saw that told me: * the rim "flows" or tapers into the clip at the edge, this is especially prominent on the reverse behind the hind legs. * the design elements directly adjacent to the clipped edge are not struck up fully. This is very evident in the… -
Re: What grade can I expect for these sigs/What do you think it is worth ?
Well, I just sent an E-mail to PSA asking them if they have any upcomming shows on the east coast /NY/NJ area and if they do grading at these shows . Maybe some of you might be able to answer if they will grade a baseball that wasn't autheticated by them and if it will have to be first ? But I did aske them that question… -
Re: I never have bought a dipped coin...QUESTION??
I believe a significant percentage of 19th century white MS and AU silver coins have been dipped. It may be 10%, 30%, 50%, 70%, but it is a LARGE number of coins. Gold is different, but I have to believe there are a large number of dipped pieces in TPG slabs. The greed factor is too great, especially for gold where MS62 to… -
Re: SHIPPING/HANDLING
