used to do bay-layaways for folks who needed time to pay and it was never a problem.......several years ago. with the current payment system in place and myriad fears of scammers and unpredictable situations, i'd demand every penny of the sale or no deal. -

There are too many scammers out there to provide your SSN via telephone. I would ask that they send me a W-9 via USPS to my address on file, just like every other legitimate financial institution does. -

It does say "stock photo" in the listing. Zero feedback seller could either be a scammer or just hasn't figured it out. I don't know what this card might be worth, but I rarely bid on anything with a stock photo. Joe -

OK, Because words are subject to interpretation and smooth deception. Scammers can say one thing and make it sound like another. When it shows up you're in an arguement over interpretation of the words. A photo of a slab doesn't decieve. --Jerry -

I know it's absolutely misleading...but if it doesn't specifically state "the coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive" I either stay away or ask the seller for clarification. A lot of good seller's just omit that by accident, but the scammers do it intentionally. -

I say dont compromise at all. There are a lot of scammer out there. I was just looking at a first time seller with a Gretzky OPC PSA 9 rookie that only accepts money orders. Before it closes, I will email Ebay "notifications". -

...monstaaah, Did you email the seller? I see (s)he modified the item description so there's nothing about the missing piece of gum...or maybe a (fresh?!) piece was added. Thanks for the heads up on this most-likely scammer... hh -
