Roosie Grades in.....my first 2 top pops!

After numerous attempts I finally made 2 Roosie top pops! Normally my grading is subpar in this series but I think I finally hit a couple of homeruns, or at least a triple! Possible 1943/2 War nickel? Opinions? Found in $40 of silver.

I am not convinced that this is a 1943/2 War nickle, as I have had several, but this coin made me look harder at it. There is an extra bit on the bottom tip of the 3 and what appears to be line or the bottom of a 2. Also behind the 3 is what appears to be the top of a 2. I am not saying its an overdate, as it looks weak… -

So, on the way out the door, I grabbed this… -

<< <i>Gorgeous 2. Is there a major crease that's hiding? Water stain? Why only a 2? How much are you looking for on that card via paypal gift? Nate >> Nate .. agreed, it's a GORGEOUS "2". There may not be anything hidden, but with the blemishes that I can see it's probably enough to knock it down to a "2". Back in the day,… -

Thanks for the Article on the $2 Educational Series Silver Certificate from 1896
Kudos to PCGS for posting the article on this website by Cory Williams on the subject of the 1896 $2 "Educational Series" Silver Certificate. Years ago I put together a set of all three "Educationals" ($1, $2, and $5) just because I thought it was such a cool and artistic design. Until reading Cory's article I did not… -
Re: Buffalo Nickel 2 Feathers question
Just to keep this thread alive, not all recognized 2-feather varieties are "true" 2 feather coins. There are some dates that indeed have a small trace of the third feather while other dates require the third feather to be completely gone. I'm not an expert on this variety (Ron Pope should be along within the next 24… -
