Re: Excitement brewing..
Here's from the president of Upper Deck on LinkedIn. Maybe a bit of sour apples because, other than hockey and oddball titles, not sure how relevant they are in the market now, but I think this is a fair take: Everything speculative is up right now: The stock market. Bitcoin. Trading cards…and it's pricing some collectors… -
40 1979-1988 Minor League Team Sets
I've never had much interest in minor league cards, but just wound up with a bunch in a collection buy. The seller thought they were gold and maybe they were once upon a time. Seems most sell for $15~ or so on ebay. I didn't spend a lot of time looking. The team sets are all in some form of bag and look to be in NM or… -
Re: GSR = 99.96 this morning

I posted back in mid-October that while GSR was currently around 80, it was long overdue to head back to a normal trading range of around 45-65. 83 was the first key support level it broke through. And a return to 63 and multi year support seemed pretty reasonable. Well, here we are about 2 months later at the 63 support… -
Re: "I haven't lost money because I still have the same number of ounces"
Given what we know about our government operations (and the Fed) in so many different areas - including the exchanges and the markets in general, how can you accept this tabulation on its face? I knew you would write this. Of course since a G report it must be false, misleading, a conspiracy or manipulated. LOL Thats the… -
Re: Post Office says "Your Busted!" (I'm quaking in my boots)

Everyone here broke at least one of these commandments. THOU SHALT NOT STEAL. "To steal means, to most men, to take a material thing that belongs to another. In reality, there are many facets to stealing. First, many men steal the dignity and respect that The Holy Trinity must have, that The Beloved Heavenly Queen must… -
Re: Weekend Alert #2 - new long timer account HACKED & more forumites SCAMMED - with a scary twist
It makes my buyers more cautious, as they should be. Look, the thread is about forum members being scammed while on the forum. It has nothing to do with counterparty risk. It has everything to do with forum trading risk. We all know there is a risk anytime you deal with a stranger through a medium other than face to face.… -

Re: Lesher House Restoration Dollar and Holder
This is from the NYTimes. Copied from the following web page. https://www.nytimes.com/1985/06/16/arts/numismatics-historic-lesher-house-recalls-a-bygone-era.html Interesting article, as I had never fully heard the reason for the restrikes. Jim NUMISMATICS; HISTORIC LESHER HOUSE RECALLS A BYGONE ERA By Ed Reiter June 16,… -
Re: Upcomming coin show in WNY - Update and purchases
Darn, I will be going through the weekend after! Oh well. I don't really have the time to stop anyway so I won't feel too bad I guess. (en route to Toledo, Ohio) The city of Buffalo itself is a pretty good attraction-but even bigger would probably be Niagara Falls! Several of the Great Lakes are only a short distance away… -
Re: 2025 Sacagawea 25th Anniversary 24k Gold Coin
Yes. of course. This whole back and forth is on account of some folks needing to give me a hard time whenever I post. Even if the post is innocuous, and objectively true. In this case, stating that "Kennedy actually circulated for decades while Sacagawea was rejected by the public from Day One." Objectively true. Kennedy…
