Re: 1963 PR70DC PCGS Lincoln cent - Auction
<< <i> Still, pocket change really does suck. >> It truly does suck that a true collector can find rare coins in circulation and form important sets while some collectors have to buy all their coins from coin dealers or shop on e-bay. It's not fair that millions of people are having a blast collecting pocket change for… -

Re: Question about stolen mail
i think you are out of luck...if the amount were more and it were done through ebay you could open disputes for items not received. EBAY will credit max $200 or the amount spent for each, less $25 processing fee. I had the same problem w/ a psa8 jordan rookie. The guy said he didn't see my request for insurance and sent it… -
Re: Selling Mercury Dime Set advice/help???

You should work your individual contacts and BST first and foremost. This will avoid the 15-17.5% etc fees everywhere. You know the value of most of your coins pretty well. If you need further advice on the value of an item you can ask me or others around here. Good photos plus good knowledge and you should be able to sell… -
Re: Should I feel guilty or bad? (coin shop story)
<< <i>I would of held him to it ...the deal was closed. I'm sure if he had sold you a 1/4 ounce for the price of a 1/2 ...he wouldn't think twice about it. If you realized it later on and went back to the store, it would be your word against his ..and guess what? you lose. A deal is a deal and sure mistakes happen but… -
Re: How out of control is ebay sniping?

<< <i>If I throw out max bid and loose by a lot I don't care . . . but when I bid a coin up from $20 to $200 with a max bid of $405 on a coin that some wins on a snipe of $406 that just sucks. >> You're missing the nature of an EBay-style auction. That guy may have bid $406, but more likely he bid $425, $450, or even more.… -

Struck over a copper nickel 1859 Cent, here is a lovely Gem grade beauty with colorful toning on both sides. The pictorial of the beer glass has always a popular motif with crossover appeal to… -
Re: Want: A Certified/or Uncertified Coin Deal Steal for Under $100
I have both raw and certified coins here, both classic and modern, and most of them cheap. You want a STEAL, though. I understand. Don't we all. The PCGS PR64 Accented Hair Kennedy half on my list is a $35 coin on the PCGS priceguide. I'd let it go for less than half that ($17 versus the $19 I just reduced it to), and… -
Re: Wow what a deal
I stopped worrying about this stuff a few years ago. The net result of expensive grading fees is an increase in the value of high graded cards and mint raw cards. Look at what Greg Morris is yielding on nice raw cards- don’t want to grade you raw beauties? You will get a bag by consignment there or listing yourself and…
