"Dipping" can sometimes be a reasonable course of action for ugly-toned silver coins. Dipping brand new Silver Eagles can also help prevent the future formation of "milk spots" (so long as the coins are handled and stored appropriately). . -

The color of the center ASE makes it look like it's just one giant milk spot on the reverse. -

The water where I live would leave milk spots if you tried to wash a coin in it. -

Adjustment marks are like weak strikes and milk spots. Created by the mint and grade effecting factors. -
