Re: Ebay Selling Advice
One of the big decisions is how you set up the starting price. A $1 start will absolutely get you the most attention. It will probably also get you the highest final price. But you can also get burned badly with that approach. If you know the market very well, I suspect the absolute best approach is to price things so high… -
Re: It's official......
Sorry to hear that, but in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is King. Life can suck when you get older, btho the younger ones have their shares of issues. I see so many at Mayo and wonder why they are there. With the depth percerception be care when walking so you don't trip over things like curbs or steps. -
Re: Bernie Williams leaning to sign with Yankees as a minor leaguer
<< <i>You aren't arguing that Bernie Williams single-handedly won the world series for the bloated Yankees are you? I can rattle off 40 or 50 Yankees players who are or were better than Williams, many of whom played with Bernie during those golden years. The Yankees are not the underdog--the Yankees have the payroll to win… -
Re: What Makes a Coin Special?

Bill, not sure where the put down is but I was being sincere in the hope you find one. Your search is adding to the story of the coin once you add it to your collection. Let's be a little less sensitive. You don't know me. Best of luck! Have the forum members become so cynical that wishing someone good luck is now a… -

<< <i> << <i>The Yankees could bring up a sack of balls, you all then would be talking about how good the sack of balls is. >> I bet the sack of balls could field better than Cano. >> Hell even Spammy could field balls better than Cano....and he sucks! I don't want to hear 'he's a rookie!' or any of that other… -
Re: Finding a registry set coin owner?
johnny010- Best of luck on your quest! But I would NOT waste my time contacting the PCGS Set Registry people for anything - they can't find their way out of a paper bag with both hands, a flashlight, and a map. I can tell you horror stories about reaching out to the "Registry Set people..." I had an interaction regarding… -
Re: Ebay Sales Tax
Yes, that is why I quit buying over 2 years ago. I would take my money from my sales and turn around and buy coins on ebay with the proceeds. I bought from many folks here, all of you have lost my business because of ebay and I'm sure there are others like me. If you think it just hurts and discourages buyers you are wrong… -
Re: Showing off all my Photo Ops! Me with Famous people. New on 04Nov16.
<< <i>Cool pictures although I am a tad surprised you weren't wearing your "Baltimore Sucks" t shirt when you had your picture taken with Cal Ripken IMF >> Since I grew up in DC area, I was and still am an Oriole and Ripken fan. We went to a couple games a year. Was actually at the game the Orioles were no hit by the White… -
Re: then vs. now
Thanx for the nteresting topic. I’m probably coming at it from a slightly different angle since I was buying packs in the 1950s, but I honestly didn’t think of myself as a “collector” at the time. The cards were just part of being a kid. We flipped them, traded them, stuck them in bicycle spokes, carried them around in our…
