Sorry to hear about your theft. One slight note of caution. Since there were coin books in the cars, and it seems the thief(ves) was/were moderately skilled in breaking into things, you might want to tighten up your locks, alarm system etc. on your own house, as they might get the idea that there are coins to be found… -

Sucks when it happens. I was burgled once. Ransacked my house, but they did not get much of value. Certainly not enough to file a claim. At least you recovered two of the cases. Wine chiller! -

Creeps have been hitting neighborhoods here where I live too. The way they work is a group of normally lazy, teenage dingle-berries are dropped off in the neighborhood while the driver cruises the area. Just FYI depending on your homeowners insurance company they won't likely drop you for this...they will drop you for a big claim. But they'll usually find a way to drop you for a big claim anyway.
