While $945 held for the close, it did concern me that $941 was hit on the morning sweepdown following a head fake to $950. That was similar to how the low $950's were swept down last week from $970. It seems to hint that $930's will eventually come and possibly $920's. But for now I would agree that gold looks like it… -

Another consolidation day. The chart is now loaded with energy and poised for another move. Again it could be in either direction, but IMO, up is the most likely direction. I'm not expecting much for a summer Friday, gold may put its move off until Monday. The dollar has held steady, but IMO, still needs to decline another… -

Local coin shop says that $20 gold has been on the move this week. I haven't seen it reflected anywhere though. Heritage has raised their sell prices on circ $20's as well as MS 64 $20 Libs and MS63-65 Saints. RR, you haven't mentioned the gold/silver ratio lately. What's going on with that? Smackdown on Friday to a 3rd time in the past week or two down to the $939-$941 region though only very briefly. According to Sinclair this was a gold capping excercise at $960 along with keeping the dollar propped above 78.4. Regardless of what it was, it worked.
