   Received a couple coins from someone yesterday to sell for him. I had to break the bad news about this one today.

   Upon further review, it does appear to be at least some clashing. It does have some of the corresponding clashing on the reverse, and the U from UNUM appears in front of the Indian's eye. I guess I could be wrong about it being bad. Of course, it's a scrubbed EF coin, so it doesn't make much difference either way, I guess.

   That's Ben's image. Gotta give credit where credit is due. *plug* Ben's website Now, tooling marks made to look like a die clash. That would be clever.

   Take a look at this image, courtesy of Ben's website. Are those tool marks or a die clash?

   From adamlaneus' image, it would appear that the coin has been clashed. The clash on your coin Messydesk seems deeper than that of Ben's website image.

   If it's not a clash mark, I would say that its either one of the more obvious counterfeits I've seen for the series or the Indian has seen some touching up.
