Rotated die Kennedy half. Where's Russ?
I believe i have found a rotated die Kennedy half. Its a 1989 P. When you flip it like a normal coin the reverse is upside down but when you turn it side for side its almost vertical. The eagles head points to about 5 o'clock. Is reversed die the correct term for this and any idea of value. I would guess its vf or better.… -

Are you sure you don't mean '88-P? These appear in the mint set And had a mintage probably, somewhat in excess of 10,000. I believe all examples originated in the mint set so if you found this elsewhere then it's likely evidence of the amount of destruction of these sets. The coin census lists only an '88-P. Cladking, this is most definatly a 1989 P Kennedy half. It has been circulated and shows it . Any clue to value? I realize its impossible to guess that without seeing it. It has been in a box since about 1995 but it was circulated before that. So it does show some dings and scratches. I wish Iwas at work so I could scan… -
