Legit messages can always be found through a person's MyEbay, and will always have the person's full name, not their Ebay screen name. In anycase, always go through Ebay to contact the seller before making any payments. NEVER reply directly to an email on second chance offers. Follow this little bit of caution and the… -

It is a problem that ebay has been slow to address. In my opinion, they should remove the 2nd chance offer until they solve the problem. As an ebay seller, I use the "private auction" feature on my higher end items. That way my bidders are protected from this problem. The spammers can not email the bidders if they do not…
