Was $40 a reasonable price for the mexican 2 peso, and $50 a reasonable price for the kruggeran? I assume the kruggeran was a better price? -

The majority of the Mexico 2 pesos you see are restrikes dated 1945. Gold content is .0482 oz. These generally retail for $25 to $28 in the present gold market. Other dates sell for more. -

Go back and read my first post. If you are still willing to pay $40 for Mexico 2 peso gold, have I got a deal for you. BTW, Australia does not mint the Krugerand, South Aftica does. Australia mints the kangaroo gold coins. -
