   David, It's caused by improper rinsing of the planchets at the mint. It was a pretty big problem with proof coins in general through 1964, and seems to be a bigger problem with the Accented Hair in particular. It's embedded in the planchet, so when you get one that bad there's no hope of recovery. Russ, NCNE

   Lori's another one on my list. Like I said before, I saw 5 more 1913 Liberty nickels at the Baltimore show than I did Accented Hair Kennedys. Everyone thought I was Russ because I kept asking "Got any Accented Hairs?" All these dealers with their million dollar display cases and I couldn't find a "common" '64 accented hair…
