   Is there a rim ding at 1 o'clock on the obverse? That might look worse in hand. Wouldn't ruin it for me though, that's an incredible coin no matter what it's graded.

   To help everyone out, please realize that the 1916, and most of the 1917 issues, were intentionally struck with a matte finish, so you won’t see the frosty luster that you have on the later dates. Also, the strike is very nice for the date, as is typical for the 1916 coins. The master dies were modified and skirt lines…
