Japan 1 Yen 1894? w/ chop marks
I know certain members can help me authenticate this coin. Diam. 38mm, 26.8g, 2.7mm thick, non-magnetic. I don't have any Asian reference works. I tried to date it but we'll see. And, Is there a chop mark image ID website that can decipher them. I gave it an acetone bath, which dissolved surface crud. Thanks for your… -

I can help with the dating, but not the authentication. To my eyes, it does not appear authentic, but it could just be circulation damage. The size and weight appear good though.
